Conflict Management Strategies for Leaders – Event
Conflict Management Strategies for Leaders
It’s every manager’s living nightmare: Members of your team are engaged in a battle royale. Squabbling at meetings. Finger pointing in the team chat. Sitting in stony silence on group calls. Relentlessly fueling the gossip mill while studiously avoiding any productive collaboration. Yikes!
Whether the conflict is out in the open, or a passive aggressive slow burn, the team dysfunction that can stem from teammates fighting is staggering. From plummeting morale to increased silo-ing that slows down progress and reduces work quality, you’re in for a rough ride as manager if you don’t have the skills to manage conflict on your team.
Talk Outline:
This talk will focus on strategies for leaders and people on a leadership track to address workplace conflict. We’ll cover:
- What to do (& not to do!) when unhealthy conflict is derailing the team
- The key communication skills to create win-win outcomes in difficult conversations
- A straightforward process for collaborative problem solving
- When a formal process is needed (& how to get help!)
The goal of this talk is to enhance your knowledge and skills for addressing unhealthy conflict.
