Below is the release you assign to WIMDI upon attending any of our events that feature video recordings.

Release

In attending a Women in Male-Dominated Industries (WIMDI) event, I understand my likeness (audio & visual) may be recorded.

I, do hereby give Women in Male-Dominated Industries, Holly Burton Coaching and Consulting, any associated keynote speakers or sponsors, and Holly Burton, his or her assigns, licensees, successors in interest, legal representatives, and heirs (“WIMDI”) the irrevocable right to

• make, edit, and distribute any audio, video recordings and transcription of me by any means and in any media (the “Materials”), and
• use my name (or any fictional name), if present in an audio or video recording, in connection with the reproduction, distribution and promotion of the Materials

for advertising, trade, promotion, exhibition, or any other lawful purposes.

I agree that WIMDI will own the Materials and all copyrights and other rights therein. I agree that WIMDI will have the irrevocable, worldwide right to make, copy, edit, publish, distribute, play, show, display and otherwise use and make available the Materials and any works that may be derived from the Materials, by any means and in any media, including WIMDI’s YouTube channel, social media accounts, and on WIMDI’s website, now existing or hereafter invented, and to authorize others to do the same.

I understand and agree that I will not receive any royalties or other payment in connection with either the rights I have granted to WIMDI in this document or the use and dissemination of the Materials.

I agree that I grant these rights without any restriction as to changes or alterations (including but not limited to composite or distorted representations or derivative works made in any medium). I hereby release and agree to hold harmless WIMDI from any liability by virtue of any blurring, distortion, alteration, optical illusion, or use in composite form, whether intentional or otherwise, that may occur or be produced in the recording of the Materials, or in any editing or processing tending toward the completion of the finished product, unless it can be shown that they and the publication thereof were maliciously caused, produced, and published solely for the purpose of subjecting me to conspicuous ridicule, scandal, reproach, scorn, and indignity.

I hereby waive any claims I may have based on any usage of the Materials or works derived therefrom, including but not limited to claims for either invasion of privacy or libel.

I further waive any right to inspect or approve the video(s) or finished version(s) incorporating the video(s), including written copy that may be created and appear in connection therewith.

The grant of rights I have made to WIMDI in this document does not infringe or violate any copyright or other right of, or breaches any obligation I have to, any other person or entity.

If any third-party claims arise stating the use of the Materials violates their rights, I agree to hold harmless and to cooperate fully with WIMDI to defend against or otherwise respond to such claim.

I have read this release and am fully familiar with its contents. I am of full age and competent to agree to this release. I agree that this release shall be binding on me, my legal representatives, heirs, and assigns.

This release is to be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of British Columbia and I submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of British Columbia in connection with any dispute or interpretation regarding this release.
