How to Lead Change (Without Inspiring a Mutiny)
Ever had an amazing idea to improve things at work, only to feel like enemy #1 when you try to make it happen? Implementing change at work is not for the faint of heart.
You need robust leadership skills to successfully steer a team through a substantial change without accidentally sending the team into turmoil, alienating key staff, or (gulp!) inciting an insatiable thirst for a coup d’etat aimed squarely at you, their troublemaking leader.
Talk Outline:
This talk will focus on how to lead change in your organization without inspiring a mutiny. We’ll cover:
- The common pitfalls leaders face when trying to implement change
- The 4- stage process you need to successfully lead change
- How to mitigate the common risks at every stage in the change process
- Effective communication strategies to help your teams adapt and continue to thrive/li>
The goal of this talk is to help you implement change with confidence and ensure your team remains engaged and aligned throughout the process.

As part of this event we have the option of donation to the Pacific Association of First Nations Women for their scholarship fund for Indigenous women and girls. This is a concrete way - beyond land acknowledgement - to redistribute some of our collective financial privilege to support Indigenous women.
