Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion
As a community of folks who have high expectations for our employers around diversity, equity, and inclusion, it’s important that we walk our talk and work to make WIMDI as equitable as possible.
As part of our normal operating procedure, WIMDI’s volunteers and I (Holly, WIMDI's Founder & CEO), are committed to creating regular Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Strategies and Plans.
This work is important and requires special care. It relates directly to our community members’ basic humanity and right to be treated equitably. We take our responsibility to care for this community seriously and want to do everything in our power to get it right. That’s why we publish these plans – and our results – publicly.

Speaker & Volunteer Demographic Data
One of the cornerstones of our WIMDI DEI work is our commitment to representation and inclusion on our WIMDI stage and in our volunteer base.
We collect data about the intersectional identities of our speakers and volunteers to help ensure that those elevated to positions of influence within the community represent the same intersectional identities we see in our membership.
